Jeffrey has a 300-hour teacher training from Yoga Therapy Toronto (IAYT). His next teachers were the youth he met and taught in institutional and shelter environments, in which he’s been teaching since 2012. His basic style follows the Desikachar school of Hatha yoga, with a focus on the coordination of breath and movement, combined with an emphasis on interoceptive awareness. He’s of the opinion that it is wiser to fit the pose to the body than the body to the pose, convinced that we must respect the fact that every body is different. He is big on verbal direction, but physical adjustments are rare in his classes.
